Dr. Amir Aboutalebi joins Northstar Dermatology in Keller

Northstar Dermatology is pleased to welcome dermatologist, Amir Aboutalebi, MD to their Keller practice. Dr. Aboutalebi is a board-certified dermatologist skilled in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.

“We’re delighted Dr. Amir Aboutalebi will be joining Northstar Dermatology’s growing practice,” says the group’s founder Sina Aboutalebi, M.D. “We’re certain his expertise and compassion will be of tremendous value to our patients.”

Dr. Aboutalebi grew up in Coppell, Texas and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Dallas with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. As a Fulbright Scholar, he investigated the ethical and economic implications of nationalized healthcare in that country. During this time, Dr. Aboutalebi also logged numerous hours as a First Aid volunteer with the Red Cross.

Dr. Aboutalebi received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, graduating with Honors. He went on to complete an internship at Houston’s Methodist Hospital, immediately followed by a residency in Dermatology at Harvard Medical School. As a resident physician, Dr. Aboutalebi had the privilege of training at a number of prestigious medical institutions including Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston Children’s Hospital, Boston Veteran Affairs Hospital and the Lahey Clinic.

While at Harvard, Dr. Aboutalebi continued his commitment to volunteerism through his service to the Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program and the American Academy of Dermatology’s International Program in Botswana.

Dr. Aboutalebi is credited with numerous scientific publications and has presented at multiple regional and national conferences. He is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Texas Dermatologic Society and Texas Medical Association. In his free time, Dr. Aboutalebi enjoys sailing, sketching, cooking and photography.
