Botox

It’s normal to develop wrinkling of the skin and facial lines as we gradually age. Over time, the connective tissue within our skin breaks down leading to lines, wrinkles, and signs of aging. Frowning or squinting can also lead to skin folds and wrinkles between the eyebrows and corner of the eyes.

Botox® is an effective, temporary solution for mild to moderate facial wrinkles. The purified protein has become extremely popular among those looking to minimize the signs of aging without surgery or more permanent procedures.

When administered by a dermatologist who has been properly trained in the use and administration of the medication, Botox can give both men and women a fresher, more youthful appearance. It’s most effective on muscles that move, such as the muscles of facial expression involved in smiling, frowning and movement of the brows.

Botox works by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a chemical that causes the muscles to contract.
