VI Peel is a medium-depth chemical peel designed to safely and effectively improve the tone, texture, and clarity of your skin with minimal downtime and noticeable results.
This medical-grade peel combines powerful ingredients like TCA, Retinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, and Vitamin C to target concerns such as:
Chemical peels are conducted by a cosmetic specialist during a brief in-office appointment. Before the procedure, your dermatologist will perform a comprehensive facial evaluation, discussing your cosmetic concerns and determining the appropriate peel(s) to use. Once you’re comfortably seated, a single layer of the solution will be carefully applied to your skin.
Additional layers of the solution will be implemented based on your tolerance. During the procedure, you may experience sensations of “tingling,” “stinging,” or slight “burning” as the active ingredients begin exfoliating the skin. After this, the chemical peel is neutralized, and post-treatment products are applied. Redness and skin sloughing are not uncommon after the procedure, and more intensive peels may lead to minimal downtime.
To effectively treat resilient acne scars or conditions such as melasma, your board-certified dermatologist may suggest a series of chemical peels.
