What To Expect

Chemical peels are performed by cosmetic specialists in a quick in-office visit. Prior to treatment, our cosmetic experts will complete a full-face assessment to discuss your cosmetic concerns and develop a plan for which peel(s) to apply. Once you are placed in a comfortable position, a single-layer of the solution will be gently applied to the skin.

We’ll continue to apply additional layers of the solution as tolerated. During the treatment, you may feel a “tingling,” “stinging,” or slight “burning” sensation as the active ingredients get to work on exfoliating the skin. The chemical peel will then be neutralized and post-care will be applied. Redness may occur after the treatment, and more advanced peels may lead to minimal downtime (including possible peeling of the skin’s outer layer).

A series of chemical peels may be recommended by your Board-Certified Dermatologist to target stubborn acne scars or treat conditions such as melasma.
